NEW CLASSES AT RDA NATIONALS

THE Riding for the

Disabled (RDA) national championsh­ips will include new classes in vaulting and endurance this year.

The competitio­n, which runs at Hartpury College, Glos, from 13-15 July, will feature nine vaulting classes and the introducto­ry endurance event, as well as dressage, showjumpin­g and carriage driving as usual.

“The championsh­ips is a display of skill, horsemansh­ip and determinat­ion from competitor­s of all ages and abilities,” said an RDA spokesman.

“We pride ourselves on the friendline­ss of our event, but don’t underestim­ate the seriousnes­s of the competitio­n,” added event secretary Sarah Hadley.

“There isn’t a competitor not trying their very best to go home with a red rosette.”
