Jacky Stolper won both mediums at Tall Trees on her Lusitano, Furo, plus an elementary with Virtuoso G.
“I bought Furo just backed in Portugal three years ago and we’re aiming at the Iberian European Championships at Bury Farm this year,” said Jacky.
“We moved to outside Exeter three months ago, after spending 20 years running our equestrian business in the New Forest. I love it down here and I can hack straight out onto the moor. The only downside is that we’re back living in a mobile home again while we do up the farmhouse,” she added.
“Virtuoso G is a big horse by Vitalis. This was his first outing for ages as he’s only just got the strength to stay engaged and not fall in a heap.”
Olivia Godfrey, 15, from Tavistock, headed a novice bronze at St Leonards with her 10-yearold part-bred cob, Gilo’s Boy.
“We began affiliated dressage in May and although he’s a quick learner, he can also be very stubborn,” said Olivia, who is helped by Clare Deithrick and Alex Reeve.
Sam Rahmatalla and Claire Self ’s seven-year-old Becky W, by Belissimo M, headed both elementaries at West Wilts.
“She’s pretty established at this level and we’re ready to start at medium,” said Sam. “I pop down to ride her at Claire’s three or four times a week.”
