‘SHE’S SURPASSED ALL OUR EXPECTATIONS’

-

SUCCESS came at the first attempt for Lisha Leeman’s homebred Kellythorpe Tiny Dancer and Lola Caddick, 12, who headed an extremely strong 128cm HOYS show pony qualifier and stood reserve, turning many heads with their polished performance.

This was only the third show under saddle for “Gillie”, a fiveyear-old by Kilvington Scoundrel out of a Thistledown mare, who headed the novice line-up at North of England summer show on her ridden debut.

The mare is now produced by Mark Robert Reeves and Steven Hulston, but was formerly shown in-hand by Lisha’s son-in-law, Frazer Atherden.

“She’s surpassed all our expectations,” said Mark, for whom Gillie is a first foray into show pony ranks. “She has an unbelievable temperament, and is a credit to her breeder. This win has made all our dreams come true.”
