IT’S probably not very often that weddings feature a photo finish, or not in the equestrian sense, but this could be the case at Newbury Racecourse before too long.

The Berkshire venue has announced it is to offer wedding services, with a “range of options” to brides- and grooms-to-be.

Happy couples can tie the knot in the royal box should they so desire, or choose from the other suites on offer — while lovebirds have also been pictured sprinting down the home straight.

High-heeled shoes may be an unwise option for the latter though, we feel, but we’re sure there will be a farrier handy to tap on some racing plates if desired.
