VET CORPORATION BUYS HOSPITALS
TWO major equine veterinary hospitals have been bought by VetPartners.
Liphook Equine Hospital in Hampshire and Rainbow Equine Hospital in North Yorkshire have been acquired by the corporation.
VetPartners owned 70 small animal practices when it moved into the equine and mixed market this year.
Plans for a £1m revamp of Rainbow, in Malton, were revealed on 4 September and are due to be completed in early 2019.
These include a purposebuilt surgical and intensive care facility that will house two operating theatres and a dedicated isolation unit with six stables, as well as a new reception building and offices for vets and administration staff.
