‘SHE’S A DREAM TO RIDE’

FROM relatively unknown to fifth in the world in the special, Patrik Kittel’s stunning mare Well Done De La Roche CMF, owned by Françoise Trembley, Brigitte Bigar and Muriel Perret, made everyone sit up during both the grand prix and the special. The 10-year-old Swiss warmblood (Furstentraum x Walt Disney) is full of grace and carries herself like a queen, and Patrik is totally smitten. She barely has a weakness — she scored eights for all but three movements in her entire grand prix.

“That test was one of the nicest feelings — I wanted to stay in there,” enthused Patrik. “Welly’s just a dream to ride.

“She’s special because she’s very kind. She is sensitive and gets scared,

but she is so committed to the people she trusts and wants to please. When she trusts you, she will do everything for you.”
