Ni­cola Wil­son’s 2014 World Eques­trian Games ride has re­tired to the hunt­ing field. The 14-year-old mare won sil­ver at the young horse World Cham­pi­onships in 2010, had top-10 fin­ishes at CCI4* and wins at three-star.

Karim Laghouag’s 2016 Olympic event­ing team gold medal-win­ning ride has died aged 13 af­ter a bout of colic. One of the most suc­cess­ful stal­lions in top-level event­ing, he was gelded last year.

MAYWAY MAS­TER­PIECE

The An­glo-Arab stal­lion has died aged 21. “Arthur”, who stood at stud for 19 years, stood supreme at the An­glo and Part-Bred Arab Cham­pi­onship as a year­ling and re­tired as cham­pion vet­eran at Suf­folk County.
