A DED­I­CATED huntswoman, even­ter and horse tri­als or­gan­iser, Mrs Wood­house died in Oc­to­ber aged 91.

She evented in the 1960s, com­pet­ing at Bad­minton in 1969 aboard Corchy, and was a master of the Port­man.

Mrs Wood­house served as an event­ing stew­ard for many years and in 1976 she and her hus­band John set up Port­man Horse Tri­als, which re­mains on the event­ing cal­en­dar to­day, and helped found Lul­worth Cas­tle Horse Tri­als.

A me­mo­rial ser­vice will be held at 2pm on 9 No­vem­ber at St Peter & St Paul’s Church in Bland­ford Fo­rum, North Dorset.
