After Midnight (Frankie) brought an

Ibiza sunset to chilly Leicestershire with their new, winning PSG freestyle.

The combination performed their trot work to the Pete Tong orchestral version of Energy 52’s Café Del Mar, with Kygo providing the soundtrack to the walk and canter work.

A change to the floorplan required a last-minute tweak to the timings of the soundtrack, which was compiled and fitted by talented teenager

George Watkins.

Katie, who is based with Gareth

Hughes, said she found it really special to ride to that music as she loves that arrangement of Café Del Mar and because of the meaning behind the lyrics in Kygo’s Not Alone.

“This was my third ever freestyle — I had put it off a bit as I was a little nervous about inflicting my music taste on the judges,” said a delighted Katie, adding that Frankie “came alive” to the music.
