SIGNS OF NORMALITY

-

IN these unprecedented times, I have never been so lucky to have horses as a hobby, keeping my two natives on a farm on DIY livery.

Despite the sadness felt every day while watching the news, I must reflect on this unusual period in a positive way, too. My ponies are fitter than ever and a daily massage and thorough groom have become the new normal. My saddles and boots are gleaming and the tack room is tidy and organised. H&H is being read within a few days of delivery and not several weeks later when the husband threatens to recycle it!

I must also thank my wonderful vets, my farrier and my local feed store for carrying on regardless to help keep our precious animals safe and well – but most of all my two ponies, because our bond is now stronger than ever.

Lockdown measures have being eased slightly and there are signs of normality returning.

So for those who are struggling, there is light at the end of the tunnel. Until then, stay strong and stay safe.
