“SHE WAS IN A LEAGUE OF HER OWN”
YOUNG horses shone at Stourport RC, Worcestershire, where five-year-old British-bred mare Swanmore Dantina produced a stand-out score of 8.96 under Sadie Smith.
“She was in a league of her own, with beautiful paces and way of going,” said judge Isobel Wessels. “The six-year-old winner, Jaguar I, was also very well ridden by Sadie and had an outstanding canter.”
Others that caught the eye included four-year-old winner De La Hoyde, ridden by Michael Eilberg for Fairlawn EC, and Georgie Stokes’ runner-up SOS San So Amorous.
“Georgie’s horse was so elastic and supple, with nice articulation through all the joints – a real prospect,” added Isobel.
