DUBBED “the chosen one”, Waverley Night Music is stepping up smartly through the levels with Georgie Day. The Negro five-yearold bagged a pair of high-scoring elementaries, impressing Georgie with his intelligent approach.

“It’s as if he’s read the manual, or had a chat with the advanced horses overnight,” she said of the 16.1hh gelding. “He’s built like a tank, with the heart of a lion, and he knows how to perform.

“My mum, Mandy Day, and her partner, Edward Brook, have seen a lot of horses come and go at Caldecote Farm, but we believe that he could be the one,” she added. “I’m so excited to be on this journey with him.”
