2016 Grand National runner-up is learning to showjump with Pandora Lovett, daughter of one of his former trainers, Kim Bailey. He finished second at his first affiliated show.

IMPERIAL SKY

Sam Watson and the 14-year-old, whom he owns with his wife Hannah and Tom and Cathy Byrne, won the CCI4*-L at Ballindenisk (24–27 September). The pair were second at the CCI4*-S there in August.

PILOT

The police horse, who served with Northumbria Police, has been put down aged 25 following a happy retirement at the Horse Trust. His duties including attending football matches and Remembrance Day parades.
