NEW £1.8M RACING SERIES PLANNED

DATES and venues have been confirmed for a new “ground-breaking” racing initiative with a £1.8m prize fund.

Summer team Flat racing competition the Racing League will kick off at Newcastle racecourse on 29 July next year.

The six-leg series, which will run until 2 September, will involve 12 teams, each comprising two to four trainers, three jockeys, stable staff, a manager and 30 horses, competing in 36 races each worth £50,000 and earning points for league standings.

The winning team will also win a bonus prize.
