Pip Higgins and Pam Dews’ Don Geniro (left) – or “The Don” – is now 13, relatively well known in the event world and finished in the top 10 at Rio. He is an unusual personality for a top sport horse. He’s extraordinarily talented but not naturally ambitious. He has several different modes: “Floppy Don” (when he’s not feeling it), “Psycho Don” (when he’s unreasonably off-his-head excited) and “Olympic Don” (when he feels he’s the boss).
