If you could have any pony again, who would it be?

The legendary 12.2hh stallion Lechlade Quince, whom I co-owned with the Westhill stud. Born in 1986, he was by Trellech Moonsprite and out of a most beautiful mini show pony, Sarnau Royal Shrimp. His progeny won extensively in the UK as well as in Australia and America and include Horse of the Year Show (HOYS) supreme pony champions Chagford Lewis (2008) and Charn Secret Legend (2010).

Quince foals were naturally balanced movers and a delight to show. I was rarely beaten with his foals from the three HOYS in-hand winners, Ainsty Merry Maid, Culross Maid Of Honour and Huttons Ambo Camelia.
