NEW PROTOCOLS FOR POINTING
POINT-TO-POINTING can go ahead across all levels of the three-tier lockdown system.
Point-to-Point Authority chief executive Peter Wright gave an update on 13 October on the specifics of how the sport will run behind closed doors, with the season starting at Bishops Court on Saturday (24 October).
Previously, fixtures in an area under local lockdown could not run, but pointing will now follow the British Horseracing Authority approach involving health questionnaires and temperature checks on arrival. Rules on numbers attending, zones, preregistration and a code of conduct for attendees,
PPE and a new system for declarations are also among the protocols.
