TRAINING IN WALES

WITH regard to your feature about training and competing in Wales (“Wonderful Wales”, 25 March), I own the Cambrian Cross Country course in mid Cardiganshire. It was built by David Evans and I ran it for 10 years until the end of 2017, to provide a unique training opportunity for Wales.

Since then, it has been run by Tim Joynson, who will continue until the end of October 2022. It retains the lake-training feature, which, when it was created, to

quote David Evans – was “not the biggest but the best”.
