Lirica rises to the challenge

“TYPICAL redhead” Hawtins Lirica claimed the day’s highest score, winning her first-ever medium with 77.07%. SaraJane Lanning, who teamed up with Nicola Seale’s seven-yearold chestnut mare “Lyra” last September, saw lockdown training pay off – with Lyra earning an eight for the half-passes and nines for the extended walk and collected trot.
“She is hot, but it’s a lovely challenge,” said Sara, who also rode the Lemony’s Nicket daughter to an elementary 53 qualifier win.
