TREBLE FOR ANDREWS

-

NORTHERN area jockey Jack Andrews had a successful day at the Bedale meeting at Hornby Castle, Yorkshire, when scoring a treble. His hat-trick kicked off when nine-year-old Royal Chant (pictured) won the conditions (level two) for trainer Cherry Coward.

Jack then went on to win the restricted on seven-year-old gelding Manicman, who was tallying two wins out of three starts for Annabelle Sowray. His third win came on 13-year-old Stellar Notion in the men’s open for Emma Clark.

“I wish they were all like that,” commented Jack, who broke his leg in a fall in 2019. “It would make my job a lot easier and it’s about time I had a bit of luck.”
