The Great Horses for Health Relay has welcomed the Duchess of Cornwall as patron. The event launched on 2 May and aims to highlight how horses can have a positive impact on mental health.

Legendary jockey Lester Piggott was inducted into the new British Champions Series Hall of Fame celebratin­g Flat racing. He said it was an “honour” to be the first jockey inducted.

Team GBR vaulter Ruby Hughes, 13, has been selected to compete in her first dressage CDI at Wellington Riding (11–16 May). Ruby joins mother Rebecca and father Gareth in the line-up.

British Eventing will welcome long-standing event organiser Helen West as chief executive this summer. Helen, who will leave her role at Bicton Arena, takes over from Jude Matthews.

Eventer Sam Ecroyd is recovering from multiple injuries, including a brain bleed, sustained in a rotational fall at Kelsall Hill on 25 April. Sam thanked all who had sent messages of support.
