PROPERTY gossip
Britain’s best known tennis mum says ‘family logistics’ are behind the sale of her luxury mansion in the Bridge of Allan, Stirlingshire. Judy Murray wants to be nearer her two sons, Andy and Jamie, who both live south of the border. ‘I spend quite a bit of time in London nowadays,’ says Judy, whose latest tennis initiative is the LTA scheme She Rallies.
Khyber House, on sale for £825,000, has four bedrooms, spacious reception rooms, a Shaker-style kitchen, a gym and stunning gardens. ‘It’s big enough to host the whole family on the rare occasions Jamie and Andy are home, and its central location makes it easy to commute to the bigger cities and the airports,’ says Judy. Harry Maitland from Savills says: ‘Built in the 1930s, it has excellent open-plan entertaining and living space and it really is in fantastic condition.’
