Introduce a fresh feel with flowers in pretty pastel hues. And to make a mixed bunch work harder, split it between two or three complementary containers – just ensure the flowers work together by balancing their shapes, sizes, hues and heights, as with the chrysanthemum, ranunculus, narcissi and Sweet Avalanche roses shown here. ‘Spring flowers continue to grow in water, so think a little more carefully when using them in a mixed arrangement, as they’ll need room to stretch and spread,’ says Sonja Waites from florist Pulbrook & Gould.
