If you break any stems while preparing a bunch for a vase, don’t discard them. Instead, put them to good use as a tabletop display. Simply trim off any excess stem or remaining leaves and float the flowerhead in a shallow bowl of water. They’ll only last a day or so, but in that time, they’ll make a striking centrepiece.
