Rose Royale
Passionate about food, MasterChef 2017 finalist Giovanna is a founder of Little Brixton Kitchen and one part of the supper club, Three Girls Cook. She’s a prolific food blogger and Instagrammer, championing seasonal ingredients and provenance to create easy dishes to enjoy and share with friends.
‘This is a more delicate version of a Kir Royale. Rose syrup and rosewater varies quite dramatically in strength, so add a little at a time until you reach your preferred strength. The addition of vodka gives it quite a kick, so just leave it out if you’d rather have something less punchy!’
FOR ONE SERVING
Rose syrup or rosewater, to taste
1 shot good quality vodka 80ml champagne or
sparkling white wine Dried rose petals or
rose buds (optional)
1 Pour a little of the rose syrup or rosewater into the bottom of a champagne glass along with a shot of vodka. Pour over the 80ml measure of chilled champagne or sparkling wine and adjust the levels of rose to suit your taste.
2 Serve the Rose Royale cocktail sprinkled with a few dried rose petals or a dried rose bud, if desired.
