REGGIE SMITH OF SMITH & GOAT
Having switched from landscape gardening and fashion buying to making homewares, couple Reggie Smith and Amy Gill founded Smith & Goat in 2017.
With a love for concrete, their small team work from an east London studio, employing ambitious techniques in the blending and casting of this natural material, and pigments to create one-off products.
The range varies from small objects (above, from £24 at Katie Leamon) to large-scale kitchens, tables and sinks (right), as well as a bespoke design service. The couple’s love of finding new designers and brands on Instagram has led to the creation of The Edit, a curation of handmade products, including soaps and art prints, that complement Smith & Goat’s style.
‘We design new products ourselves in our homewares range, as well as collaborating with other designers and architects to make people’s concrete dreams become a reality,’ says Reggie. ‘There’s always something exciting on the go and that interaction with people and evolution of products is what inspires us.’
