HOUSE PLANTS
‘Plants are living pieces of art for your home that bring personality, atmosphere and so much more’ Maria Ruffino, horticulture buyer at Homebase
Whether you’re only just becoming a plant parent or already have a growing family of house flora, you’ll know that a mix of textures, sizes and leaf shapes will help boost your mood and look fabulous in your home. A couple of convincing faux plants thrown in will add another nod to the great outdoors.
Perk up an empty corner with large plants, such as a Fiddle-leaf fig, bird of paradise or a yucca. And as mature plants are more established, they’re less likely to give up on you.
Easycare varieties include cheese plants, Kentia palms and succulents. Not green- fingered? Take the guesswork out of plant care and opt for a self-watering pot with a base that includes a reservoir for feeding the roots.
If floor space is limited, create a vertical garden with a cascading display of trailing plants.
