EMMA J SHIPLEY’S FINE CHINA
Delving deep into the most extreme and wild places on earth for inspiration, Emma J Shipley’s distinctive style fuses her travels with fictional influences such as myths, legends and fairy tales to create her fantastical designs.
Her first collection of fine china dining pieces uses 12 individual layers of colour to build up scenes depicting leopard-spotted elephants, winged beasts and other curious creatures in a jungle setting. The collection of plates, bowls and mugs has been created to be as practical as it is magical, with all items being dishwasher and microwave safe.
Emma’s secret to styling an eclectic table is to recognise that ‘mixing patterns doesn’t matter as long as the colours work well together’ – she suggests choosing one colour and making sure that everything else you introduce has a touch of that shade in the design.
