There’s no point in attempting to site your perfect space somewhere that feels overlooked, so be sure to include screening in your plans.

This could be something as simple as lots of oversized leafy plants, a cantilevered parasol that can be angled to block a line of sight, or clever modular high-backed furniture as shown here – a particularly good way to create garden ‘rooms’.
