CAN YOU PULL A HEART MUSCLE IF YOU EXERCISE TOO MUCH?

Athena Frost

- AE

In general, you can’t pull your heart muscle like other muscles. While you can increase your heart rate, you can’t voluntarily overload your heart the way you can with other muscles. However, extreme long-term endurance exercise can damage your heart. It can cause scarring and increase risks of heart attacks. If you have any symptoms, or are at risk of heart problems, you should check with a doctor before starting or changing your exercise routine.
