WHY DO I GET BLISTERS IN MY MOUTH?

A blister can occur on any soft area of the mouth, from the lip to the oesophagus, and there are many things that cause them. The most common way to get a blister is through injury. If you accidentally bite your lip or scratch your cheek while eating crispy food, you can easily cause a blister to form. They can also appear if the skin inside your mouth is irritated by strong toothpaste or mouthwash. Some acidic foods, such as oranges or pineapples, can trigger them, while others find that they get blisters if they are particularly stressed or generally feeling poorly.
