Partner named for Run Huddersfield festival
GREENHEAD College has been honoured for providing excellent careers support to children.
The college achieved the C&K Careers Quality Standard after being rigorously assessed against nine criteria.
These aim to demonstrate that the college provides its learners with a programme of careers education, information, advice and guidance that is in line with national standards.
The Standard involves proving that the careers programme includes effective workrelated learning, engages parents/carers in careers, has good resources and information.
The college also had to show that it had strong leadership, effective training for staff and that the careers programme is inclusive for all learners. ORGANISERS of a fundraising running festival in Huddersfield have secured support for their venture.
Run Huddersfield will be held on June 4 and will feature a marathon, a half-marathon and a family fun.
Setting off from YMCA’s Laund Hill complex at Salendine Nook, the marathon runners will follow a route taking in Scammonden Dam, Huddersfield Narrow Canal and the University of Huddersfield campus.
Organiser Team OA Ltd has named Halifax-based independent chartered financial advice firm Investing For Tomorrow as a partner.

The college marked the occasion with an award presentation.
Principal assessor Jill Ellis and C&K Careers chief executive Gerald Hey presented the award to Rowena Burton, head of careers, Zoe Smith, community and sponsors ways to keep people fit and healthy.
As a partner of the festival, race numbers for the marathon and halfmarathon runners will carry Investing For Tomorrow branding.

Run Huddersfield is supporting several local charities, including Rudy’s Retreat, Shabang, White Knights Yorkshire Bloodbikes and Holme Valley Mountain Rescue.
