Double joy for hot Rob

ROBERT ARMITAGE had success at the double in the Huddersfield Snooker and Billiards Association matches.

In the Billiards League the Marsh Lib cueman produced the best break with a fine 63, but it wasn’t enough as he lost to David Stuart of Lindley Lib.

In the Open Snooker League it was Armitage with the top break again notching 39 against Kyle Wood of Marsden Con.

In the Billiards matches there were only six breaks of 25 or more, as Mick Haigh of Upper Hopton B made a 27, Scott Lawton of Milnsbridge Lib B had a 29 and Brian Cousen of Lindley Lib had beaks of 61, 41 and 38.

In the Open Snooker League there were 14 breaks of 25 or more recorded as Sam Redfearn of Upper Hopton B had a 25, and both Austin Roddy of Lepton Lib B and Jack Dyson of Meltham Lib D made a 26.

Kieran O’Prey of Crosland Moor Con A and Michael Dyson of Canalside C made a 27, Gary Doughty of Crosland Moor Con A recorded a 29, Tony O’Hara of Marsh Lib B and Lee Quarmby of Slaithwaite C & BC A both made a 30 break.

Conrad Norcliffe of Lower Hopton had 33, both Kevin Ellis of Broad Oak BC A and Chris Thorpe of Marsh Lib A made a 36 break but Chris had a further break of 28, and Adam Harper of Broad Oak BC A made a 38.
