So I’m disappointed to hear that Sainsbury’s stores – and there are a few in our area – is dropping its fair trade labelling from its tea in order to use its own system which could see farmers short changed. WHEN is Examiner letter writer Trevor Woolley going to put a sock in it regarding his biased opinion of remoaning in the EU? If the gentleman is so averse to the UK ruling itself and making its own laws as it had done IN answer to Trevor Woolley’s letter (July 7). No we don’t want another Brexit vote.

I find your letter very unpatriotic and why would anyone want to be ruled by the Germans or the French?

We pay for our MPs to govern the UK, not to hand over control to an unelected club of the EU. We and our children will do very well without the edicts and outlandish charges sent from them.

Our citizens who live abroad have to have ID. There’s only one million of our citizens living in Europe, mainly in Spain, where the weather is milder and they are mainly retired not claiming any benefits in their chosen EU country.
