Ripper: I did bad things

-

PETER Sutcliffe has admitted “I did some bad things” in a chilling new letter sent to journalists from prison.

But the evil serial killer, dubbed the ‘Yorkshire Ripper,’ has denied recent allegations that he also attacked men.

The 71-year-old is currently serving 20 life sentences at HMP Frankland in Durham for killing 13 women – including Huddersfield woman Helen Rytka.

Sutcliffe also attacked and tried to kill a woman in the Oakes area of the town during his six-year reign of terror.

Amid new speculation that he may have targeted two men, Sutcliffe wrote to ITV’s Calendar denying he ever attacked any men.

In what could be his first ever “confession” he wrote: “Yes, I did some bad things, but I just want people to know that I did not attack or murder any males.”

“And with an [sic] whole life sentence I’d have nothing to lose and it would not be in my interest to say I didn’t do it if I did as I’m in jail till my dying day.”

The most recent allegations are that Sutcliffe murdered a bookmaker named Fred Craven with a hammer in Bingley in 1966, before going on to attack Leeds taxi driver John Tomer the following year.

Sutcliffe added: “I can tell you with 100% honesty I did not murder Mr Craven. And never have I attacked a male.”
