13 a lucky number for £1.3m housing
a ribbon cutting by Judith Crowther, chairman of the Sadeh Lok board, and Jan Ormondroyd, chairman of Incommunities Group.
The development follows the handover of eight new homes to Sadeh Lok at Skelmanthorpe, acquired with the assistance of Kirklees Council.
Judith Crowther said: “I am delighted to see Sadeh Lok delivering more affordable homes in Kirklees and that these homes have been quickly let. The development is the product of an effective partnership between Sadeh Lok, the Homes and Communities Agency, Kirklees Council and Incommunities in-house development team, Lumia Homes.”
Hussain Brook, head of Sadeh Lok, said: “Everyone at Sadeh Lok is very proud of this development. In particular, we welcome the support of Kirklees Council in facilitating the release of the site for the benefit of the wider community. We are committed to regenerating brownfield sites like this and improving social housing provision in the area.”
Clr Naheed Mather, Cabinet Member for Strategic Housing, Regeneration and Enforcement at Kirklees Council, said: “I welcome this new development. Working with partners to develop new homes is essential to securing affordable housing for the future. The council, Sadeh Lok, and Incommunities have worked hard to deliver this scheme. It has been designed to create great homes for local people and in a way that secures access for cyclists and pedestrians using the adjacent greenway.”
