Wagner not focused on January yet

-

DAVID Wagner says he won’t start thinking about the January transfer window until it is open.

With four long-term injuries and his side struggling in the relegation zone, a move by the Town head coach to bring in reinforcements seems certain.

However, the German says there are more pressing things to focus on at the moment.

“It is all about Saturday’s game at the minute,” he said head of today’s match with Newcastle.

“We have to see how the rehab of all our guys will progress, but to lose three midfielders in a week with longterm injuries isn’t helpful.

“What this means for the window is something I will think about when the window is active.”

And when asked if he expected to sell any players next month, Wagner said: “After what has happened in the last week with losing four players to long-term injuries, I don’t have this now in my head.

“Today I have had to call in some players from the Academy to play 10 against 10, and this means that it is anything but in my head that we will at the minute think about how many, or will we lose some players in the window.” HUDDERSFIELD Town have been blessed to play some outstanding goalkeepers down the years.
