SPORT WILLIAMS INJURY BLOW

-

TOWN boss David Wagner insists the Terriers can deal with their injury crisis after Danny Williams joined the list of crocked players.

The American international is out for 10 weeks after suffering a medial ligament injury to his knee. He joins Aaron Mooy, Abdelhamid Sabiri and club captain Tommy Smith on the sidelines long term.

“We will deal with our injury situation and we will need everyone in our squad,” said Wagner ahead of today’s crucial Premier League match with Newcastle at the John Smith’s Stadium.

“Injuries are part of the game. We are experienced enough to deal with it. We have to manage it.

“You always know it can happen, but now we have them in a short time, which is very unlucky.”

Fellow midfielder Sabiri is out with a broken collarbone while Smith has a hamstring injury.

Jonathan Hogg and Terence Kongolo, however, are back in contention after recovering from their injuries, while Philip Billing is available following suspension.
