THE real thing may be coming to Huddersfield in 2019 but the UK’s number one Take That tribute band is not a bad way to warm up.

Rule The World have announced two gigs in Huddersfield for the coming months.

The band will be joined by top Robbie Williams tribute, Dan Dudd, for their February show at Holmfirth Picturedrome.

If you can’t wait that long, you can catch Gary, Mark, Howard and Jason at Wasted Space, on Zetland Street, on Saturday, December 29.

The four lookalikes have drawn praise from the actual Mr Barlow during an appearance on the BBC One’s The Graham Norton Show.

A shocked Gary exclaimed “he even sounds like me”, when he heard

Dan Maines speak.

Dan then demonstrated his singing voice is also spookily similar to the real thing as he introduced his a capella rendition of Back

For Good with Gary’s trademark: “Feel free to join in on the chorus everybody, you might know this one.”

Mark fell about the sofa laughing and said: “He’s had the same speech for 20 years!”

The band try to recreate a full Take That show, complete with spectacular stage sets and lighting and costume changes.

All of the biggest hist will feature - including Greatest Day, Shine, Relight My Fire and Pray - and audience singalongs are very much part of the performance.

Tickets for the show at Holmfirth Picturedrome on Saturday February 9 cost £20 and can be bought from the venue’s website at www.picturedrome.net

Tickets for the gig at Wasted Space cost £6 and can be bought online from skiddle. com/e/13417456.

The real Take That perform at the John

Smith’s Stadium in Huddersfield on June 4 next year.
