Ladies gather for annual prize presentation dinner
MORE than 90 Ladies gathered at Huddersfield Golf Club for the annual prize presentation dinner.
The ladies enjoyed a three-course dinner before listening to the guest speaker who presented herself as Clara Thornhill a previous owner of Fixby Hall.
She told the ladies about her life at the time and what is was like living at Fixby Hall.
Lady Captain Maria Tempest then presented prizes to more than 35 individual ladies. The biggest cheer of the night went to 86-year-old Mary Durrans who won the club’s presentation are equally great when children are rewarded for their efforts throughout the year.
“We try hard to provide as much course access as possible to juniors of all ages.

The prize for the biggest handicap reduction over the year went to Brighdy Connors who dropped over 14 shots. The golfer of the year award was won jointly this year by Ellie Short and Jane Ali.
