Fans reflect on ‘difficult choice’ for beloved club

SOME SUPPORTERS RAISE DOUBTS OVER WAGNER AFTER RUN OF DEFEATS

-

they were the most boring team I have ever seen and I thought it must be terrible to watch a team like that, and now we are playing like that.

We needed to treat that match as if we were a mid-table team putting the opponents to bed, with them having the worst defensive record, and yet we were just willing them to come at us and score in the last 20 minutes after doing nothing with all the ball and possession in the first half.

We did not even take advantage of their disarray with the penalty miss shambles.

I have always been a staunch fan of David Wagner and stick by him but we need to be more forward thinking and change things up front, even if it means playing players out of their usual position, just until the morale and confidence of the players is boosted by a win.

Similar to when we played Hefele up front. How about Kongolo being given a free rein and playing as an attacking midfielder on Wednesday night?

Very poor, no penetration, no pace, no creativity – several players not good enough and style of play questionable. Relegation looking a certainty. Terrible recruitment in summer, squad depleted with no quality.

A tale two managers – neither team looking remotely threatening at half-time so Fulham do something about it, we don’t.

All that money spent in the summer and we go to Fulham with the sole aim of not losing. We got exactly what we deserved.

After that, I think it is time to start rebuilding for next season.

This will allow David Wagner to get a good goalscoring team to have another crack at the Premier League. Town have some very good players but they are not scoring and we need a goalscorer urgently.

I have faith in the manager and most of the team to turn things round, however, we need to keep up the intensity of the work rate that

Yet another abysmal showing from Town. Technically poor, tactically inept and totally devoid of creativity. Absolutely no idea how to open up an opposition defence.

Lossl played a blinder only to be sadly let down by his team-mates.

Wouldn’t have minded so much if we’d been playing a quality side, but Fulham are no better than us and they only scored due to us getting caught on the break yet again.

Can’t see the transfer window helping us even if we bring in a couple of new players. I think it’s now looking really bleak.

Very poor. No ideas about scoring a goal. Time for DW to go. He cannot help any more.

The club have a difficult choice to make.

We can carry on in this predictable fashion and take the inevitable path to relegation with little prospect of getting back into the Premier League for many years, or we can appoint an experienced manager to stir things up and battle to keep us in this league.

I would suggest appointing Allardyce at the start of next week. Nothing to lose and much to possibly gain. Also, such a figure
