Learn lessons of the past

Huddersfield Daily Examiner - - News -

ONCE again in the news, too much sugar in our kids’ diets.

Maybe we should take a lesson from the wartime when many foods were on ration. Where mothers did an excellent job with few resources providing wholesome meals for their children. Many had a ‘grow your own’ mentality resulting in active, fit children, with few weight problems and most were mentally healthy.

In my childhood, girls learned lifelong skills, sewing and knitting. Boys looked for jobs to make pocket money and got into the habit of working.

Bring up your child the way you want them to grow, healthy and happy.
