Hernandez: Town will be a tough test for us Hammers
WEST Ham striker Javier Hernandez has explained why he thinks Huddersfield Town will be a difficult test for the Hammers on Saturday.
Jan Siewert’s Terriers travel to the London Stadium for the Premier League encounter.
Town will go into the game bottom of the table - where they have been since Boxing Day - whereas the hosts are ninth with 25 more points.
Mexican marksman Hernandez is still expecting a tough match, though, and reckons Town’s struggles this season make them no less of a threat.
“All teams have their difficulties and their pros and cons,” he explained. “Sometimes you can see why they are there, but they can also be very dangerous.
“Every team we face is going to be the most difficult so far, so we can’t think that because they’re in a bad position that they’re going to be something different.”
Hernandez argued that if a team are in the Premier League, they are automatically a dangerous opponent.
The 30-year-old forward said: “We should expect they are going to be at their best - that’s why the Premier League is the most-competitive league in the world, because you never have an easy game.
“You can see that every team drops points. That’s the nice thing about the Premier League and we’re expecting a very difficult test against Huddersfield, who are fighting for their lives.”
