Besides the numerous Open races in which many have taken part, there has been the YVAA CC Championships at Hull where in the Women and M70+ men the club had 10 runners.

Highlights were Helen Berry’s and Lesley Ewart’s age group wins (Helen was also first in the race), the F35-44 team of Helen Berry, Fran Whitworth and Becky Burdon winning silver medals, the F45–54 team winning bronze medals with Lesley Ewart, Rachel Taylor and Debbie Beck and the M70+ team of Richard Smith, Bill Hunter and Roger Bradley also winning bronze medals.

In Race 2 Harriers had six M50–69 runners. Jonny Sykes was first Harrier home followed by Kevin Dessoy. The club also claimed two medals in individual M65 age group though with Kevin Yewlett, who finished first, and Rob Kersey who was second.

The last race for M35–49 runners had just three Harriers taking part and although missing out on individual medals they did pick up the bronze medals in the M40 – 49 team championships.

Homfirth hosted the second race in the YVAA multi-terrain series, with just under 200 runners from 29 Yorkshire clubs taking part.
