Field eye Tigers win for top-three finish

LEWIS HOPES TO END SEASON ON A HIGH IN SEDGLEY CLASH

HUDDERSFIE­LD bring a close to their successful National Two North campaign with a trip to fourthplac­ed Sedgley Park Tigers knowing that a win or a share of the spoils will guarantee a third-placed finish.

Field will be looking to make it an end to the season with three consecutiv­e wins after their most recent victories against Fylde and then last week’s Yorkshire derby triumph in Wharfedale.

Sedgley have ended their season in strong fashion, winning their past six games, as they rose to fourth from a lower position.

Head coach Gareth Lewis believes the encounter on the final day is an intriguing prospect.

He said: “It’s fitting that third plays fourth on the final day of the season. Sedgley are on a long winning streak, it’s their coach’s final game in charge and they are at home so the odds are stacked in their favour.
