Second honour is a first!
DAVY BECOMES ONLY BUSINESSMAN TO RECEIVE PRESTIGIOUS AWARD TWICE
BUSINESSMAN Ken Davy, who is also chairman of Huddersfield Giants, has been honoured with the Money Marketing award for Outstanding Contribution to the Financial Services Profession.
This is the second time he has received this prestigious award and he becomes the only person to receive it on two occasions.
Mr Davy, whose work in the sector has spanned five decades, is the chairman of the Yorkshire-based, AIM listed, SimplyBiz Group, which is a leading provider of business support and technology to financial advisers and institutions.
He has received dozens of awards and accolades throughout his career and has now received his latest award twice, having first been recognised with the title in 2010.

Davy’s unwavering passion for the industry, his dedication to fighting the corner of financial advisers and his commitment to the importance of improving outcomes for consumers and their access to independent financial advice.
Mr Davy said: “I was delighted to receive this award a decade ago. However, to be awarded it on a second occasion is quite stunning and a tremendous accolade.
“The reality is that I am as passionate today about the importance to consumers of high-quality professional advice, delivered by advisors who care, as I was the first day I joined financial services all those years ago.”
In addition to his financial services career, Mr Davy is a serial business creator and a Visiting Professor of Entrepreneurship at the University of Huddersfield and regularly provides mentorship to early-stage businesses.
