TOWN have announced the date when Carlos Corberan will start pre-season training.

And it’s been revealed the 37-year-old Spanish head coach has already planned every single session through to the start of next season on the weekend of September 12.

Corberan was appointed by Town on Thursday, after being part of previous club Leeds United’s Championship title celebrations, and brings with him a CV stamped with recommendations from highlyregarded managers Marcelo Bielsa and Pep Guardiola.

While Corberan is head coach rather than manager, it’s already been revealed he’ll have the final say on new signings – but the hard yards on recruitment will be carried out by Leigh Bromby’s staff to allow Corberan the maximum time to concentrate on preparing his squad for the 2020-21 campaign.

Having played nine matches in just 32 days while completing a successful battle against relegation from the second tier, and with just seven weeks to the next big kick-off, Town’s training schedule and plan have been announced.

Head of football Leigh Bromby said: “The players have been given the dates when they are back in - August 10. And Carlos has his plan all ready for every session that he is doing for every minute and every second, and that has come to me.

“He is having a break and the players are having a break now.

“His support staff, which will be announced, will start on August 1 to do the preparation for him coming back. Carlos will start on the grass straight away when he is back.”

NEW Town head coach Carlos Corberan will decide whether to keep any of the club’s previously wantaway players.

Before the last transfer window, Terence Kongolo, Adama Diakhaby and Isaac Mbenza were taken out of selection contention and made available for transfer. They all went out on loan, with Dutch defender Kongolo joining Fulham, French
