CARLOS Corberan’s concession Flo Hadergjonaj is close to leaving Huddersfield Town seems about to be franked.

The 26-year-old Kosovo international is reported to be close to agreeing terms with Greek giants Olympiacos.

Olympiacos are in the market for a right-back following the departure of their captain Omar Elabdellaoui to Galatasaray on a free transfer.

And as they approach Sunday’s Greek Cup final against AEK Athens it seems they are close to agreeing a fee with Town for the player who spent half of last season on loan with Kasimpasa in the Turkish Super Lig.

It’s easy to forget Hadergjonaj played 22 matches for Town last season as they club battled to stay in the Championship, before making his move to Turkey.

Corberan revealed before the weekend that the player who joined Town from Ingolstadt in 2017 had not returned to Canalside for pre-season training as he worked to secure a move abroad.

Like Ramadan Sobhi, he was said to be ‘very close to leaving the club’, and now Supersport Kosovo journalist Arlind Sadiku reports Olympiacos are close to reaching a deal with Town and securing his signature.

Speaking at his first press conference as Town head coach, he said: “I [haven’t been able to] work with Flo or with Ramadan or with Kongolo, because Kongolo is here in the club but has an injury.

“The other players, Flo and Ramadan, are players that I think are very close to leaving the club.

“I am now just focusing on the players that we have here in the squad. I think the idea the club has is that these players [Sobhi and Hadergjonaj] want to have offers and the club is in negotiations over opportunities for them to go to other clubs.”
