Stick or twist dilemma for boss Corberan

-

No, we’ve not had a few too many sherries, tripped and fallen into a time warp back to 2015.

That is, in fact, the XI that was in action the last time Huddersfield Town picked the same starting lineup for three consecutive league games.

Chris Powell picked that side to mixed results against Ipswich, Milton Keynes and Derby in October 2015.

Rotation enthusiast David Wagner was brought in as his replacement just a few weeks later, and since then tinkering has very much been the name of the game for the Terriers.

Might we see a Christmas miracle? Could Carlos Corberan pick the same side again after taking four points off Coventry and Watford last week?

Well...probably not, but there’s a chance, so let’s go with it - it’s as good a guess as any other, after all.

The players have just had a week off and put in a brilliant performance against promotion-chasing opposition last weekend, so short of any new injury concerns we would expect Corberan to be reluctant to change it. True, Blackburn will visit the John Smith’s Stadium on Tuesday, but they have an identical results record to Barnsley (and to Town, oddly enough), meaning there is no such thing as a stronger or weaker opponent to save players for.

Corberan has hinted that Ben Hamer is still not quite 100 per cent fit, which we’re going to take as an indication that Ryan Schofield will remain in goal.
