YAYA IMPRESSED BY TOWN YOUNGSTERS

- By STEVEN CHICKEN

YAYA Sanogo believes Huddersfield Town could have a couple of players for the future on their hands in fellow Frenchmen Brahima Diarra and Etienne Camara.

The striker benefitted from the tutelage of then-Arsenal coaches Thierry Henry and Robert Pires during his time at the Emirates as well as playing alongside plenty of his countrymen, including Bacary Sagna, Laurent Koscielny and Olivier Giroud.

Now 28 and therefore one of the Terriers’ more experienced players, Sanogo is keen to pass on what he has learned to the younger generation.

And he revealed that French B-team youngsters Diarra and Camara had already spoken to him.

“They asked me some advice because they want to have great careers in their future,” he said.

“I said to them that they need to work hard, stay focused and keep going. If you keep going you will see all your efforts.

“They are very good players with a good mentality. Brahima comes to train with us sometimes and I think it’s positive for the future of Huddersfield.

On what it is that allows

French-produced players to thrive, Sanogo said:

“They come in good condition and work hard.

So many French players come and have success because they have that mentality.

“I think every country is different, the education is different.

“In England they work very well and there are great young players in the national team - and for France too.

“There’s a lot of talent around and both countries have many good players. For me the education in England is perfect also.”
